EIGA 100/20 – Hydrogen cylinders and transport vessels
This document describes industry experiences with hydrogen cylinders and transport vessels and provides a number of recommendations for the specification, manufacture, testing, maintenance and mounting of the cylinders and vessels.
This document was prepared at the end of the 1980s and the last revision was made in 2003. The additional information for this revision is that for recommendation No 1, the (950 MPa) strength limit for steel cylinders may be exceeded by using the qualifying protocols given in ISO 11114-4.
Please note that new applications of hydrogen with working pressure more than 300 bar and using composite cylinders are not covered by this document, but ISO standards are in preparation.
There are no further changes in the rest of the document compared to the 2011 edition.
