One of  BCGA's main objectives is to "...promote and advise on safe practice, participate in standards-making and provide departments of Government with access to expert advice and to assist in the preparation of practicable and relevant legislation that applies to the industry and its customers.  These objectives are focused principally on standards-making and legislation associated with Britain's membership of the European Union."

There is no better time to influence the major changes that are taking place in our industry.  As we move towards global standards, you can make a difference by supporting your National committees.

International Organization for Standardization

The site can be navigated without logging in and includes comprehensive information regarding all ISO standards, ISO technical Committees and, if you have a spare moment or two, the ISO rules.

CEN Website
European Committee for Standardization

It is possible to search the site by technical body. For each committee, their standards, business plan, work programme and published standards are listed.  Also available from the homepage are many other functions and information about CEN, the CEN rules and drafting standards.
