The British Compressed Gases Association is pleased to announce the publication of a new Code of Practice:

CP36: Bulk Cryogenic Liquid Storage at Users’ Premises

This new document has been prepared to bring up to date the contents of 2 previous Codes, CP19 and CP21, which are now withdrawn. These previous Codes addressed the installation of cryogenic storage tanks and associated equipment containing liquid oxygen (CP19) and liquid nitrogen and /or argon (CP21). It was decided to combine the 2 documents to provide a single Code for all cryogenic tank installations at customer sites. All the technical content has been thoroughly reviewed and references to legislation and standards fully updated. All installations with tanks between 1000 litres and 125000 litres water capacity are covered.
