Gas Equipment Inspection/Replacement Date Marking

Refurbishment of Handheld Blowpipes and Regulators used with Compressed Gases for Welding, Cutting and Related Processes
BCGA published a document (CP17 – now withdrawn) which specified how to refurbish regulators and blowpipes used for welding, cutting and related processes. Changes in the pattern of operation within the industry have resulted in such activity being only very rarely undertaken, and thus the detailed operating methods described in CP17 have fallen into disuse. Additionally the last published revision of CP17 (Revision 2 of 2004) has become due, on the 5–year frequency, to be revised and updated. TSC3, the relevant subcommittee within BCGA, have therefore decided to withdraw CP17 in its previous format and replace it with this new document giving simplified guidance on the issues raised by this activity.
