EIGA 122/18 – Environmental Impacts of Hydrogen Plants
EIGA publication Doc 122, Environmental Impacts of Hydrogen Plants, details the environmental impacts of the production of hydrogen and gives guidelines on how to reduce this environmental impact.
It is intended to serve as a general guide for hydrogen plant operations managers and personnel to assist in putting in place a formal environmental management system that can be certified by an accredited 3rd party verifier. It also aims to provide a guide for operating managers for identifying and reducing the environmental impacts of these operations.
For EIGA Members, this guidance document is supported by a training package TP 19, Hydrogen Plants Environmental Issues, to help communication of the guidance and promote discussions with staff at operations sites.
The publication has been revised to bring it in line with current practises and to include updated references to ISO 14001 - 2015 Environmental management systems. The training package presentation has been updated in line with the revised Doc 122.
