EIGA Document 206/16 - Guideline for defining specifications for non-medical breathing gases

There are a number of different applications involving non-medical breathing gases. The requirements for non-medical breathing gases and how to meet them may not always be clear to the industrial gases industry.

This publication is intended to provide a guideline defining specifications for non-medical breathing gases.

Non-medical breathing gases include gases used for diving, aviation, surface applications such as confined entry and gas mixtures used for research for altitude and sports simulation tests.

Gases manufactured by the industrial gases industry for end users and raw material to be used by manufacturers and customers to produce their own mixtures are included in this publication.

Medical gases and mixtures produced by third parties are excluded from this publication.

This publication is intended for all those involved in the supply of non-medical breathing gases.
