Multilateral Agreement M299 – Use of DoT cylinders

The Department for Transport (DfT) have recently signed Multilateral Agreement M299 - on the carriage of USA Department of Transportation (DoT) pressure receptacles in the UK

The UK signed multilateral agreement M299 on 24 May 2016. It is a continuation of M237 which expired on 1 June 2016. It is valid until 1 June 2019.

It is a temporary derogation from the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR). The derogation concerns the carriage of different gases of Class 2 in US Department of Transportation pressure receptacles.
